The inaugural fine wine Challenge has been held, judged by some of the finest international and SA palates.  Five of the nine judges were MW qualified – Masters of Wine of whom there are less than 300 in the world. 

The results were released on 19 April as the much anticipated and eagerly awaited celebration and book launch took place at 5 star boutique hotel, Rodwell House in St. James, Cape Town.  A jazz band, canapés and the top 100 SA fine wines kept the party going long after the awards ceremony was complete.Tim Atkin MW, Chair of the 2011 Judging panel said: “Top 100 SA Wines is one of the most exciting projects I have ever been involved with, setting new standards of professionalism and integrity for the Cape Wine industry.”
